McCoy Jamison
Internationally trained teacher, dancer and choreographer McCoy Jamison is the passionate founder of Latin Dance Made Easy. After discovering dance in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, where he trained intensively at the prestigious Jaime Aroxa Academy, he continued his studies in the U.S. and Cuba, covering numerous styles of Latin and African social dance. In addition to creating online dance lessons, McCoy runs weekly Latin dance events featuring salsa, bachata, merengue, and kizomba. He also offers DJ services and dance lessons for parties, weddings, festivals and community events. When he’s not dancing, McCoy is spending time with his two energetic sons, making culinary magic as a home chef, and working on his craft of digital design and marketing. He is excited to help you add more joy and connection to your life through Latin dance!
Jessie Cooley
Jessie Cooley learned to love Latin dance early in life, and since then she has traveled throughout the U.S. and Latin America learning various styles of salsa, bachata and merengue. She sees the positive impact of dance on our minds, bodies and spirits and loves sharing this joy with others, whether they are new or experienced Latin dancers. Jessie’s background as a social justice educator intersects with her love of dance, as she enjoys creating inclusive spaces where people of all identities can connect, feel welcome and learn together. For Latin Dance Made Easy, Jessie provides dance instruction, strategic planning and community outreach. When she’s not dancing, she is working as a nonprofit organization leader, excitedly discussing politics with family and friends, listening to podcasts, and playing her most important role as adoring Auntie. ❤️
